a lot of stress right there i would say, incredible amount of pressure just being pregnant at that age,
now imagine that within 24 hours your pregnancy, as well as engagement to an inbred redneck, became a hot topic in the entire free world!.
rumors, innuendos, tabloid stories, press hounding you every where you go,
wouldn't that add to your pressure and stress big time!?
wouldn't that make an already tough position much much tougher and more complicated!?
all because your mother wants to be vice president,

before Sarah Palin ran for vp no one outside of Alaska knew, or cared who she was, now her and her teen daughters inappropriate behavior are a hot topic all over the globe!.
i am no Obama supporter but i think it is awful that one person's thirst for power overrides the best interest of their family
by the way, i am no left winger and am not coming at this from an ideological point of view, i believe family comes first and someone who makes a decision knowing that doing it will expose their pregnant up teen to an unbelievable amount of scrutiny doesn't get my respect, no wonder Bristol Palin got this way to begin with!.

Yes, Sarah Palin is in the limelight, but I think the press (the world over) need to learn some responsibility and journalistic ethics!.

But I agree, did she know her daughter was pregnant before she ran, then that is so mean her daughter is now looked at in the public eye and I would hate that and probably be a bit mad at my mum too for choosing that over helping be a better mom!.

If I came home pregnant when I was 17 I would have been dead at 17!. So would the father!.

I grew up with a single parent - and it wasn't until I got married that I was able to experience regular family traditions such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc!. in what we in the crazy Life call NORMAL!.

Yes, I could imagine being pregnant at that age, I am that age!. But one thing I know for sure: if I were her and pregnant at the age I am now, I would NOT get married!. I've always been against marriage generally because people rush into it- but especially at the young age and situation!. "You want me to get married just because im having your baby!? Kiss my ***!.!."; To not get married, its best for the kid!. To get married is best for your image to everybody else!. And I'm more concerned about the kid!. Actually, would be my only concern in life at that point!.

I present this as a parent of two just-past-the-teens daughters!.
Here's what parents do!.!.!.!.!.we raise our kids the best we know how for as long as they will listen to us!. After that what they do is their desision, good or bad!. The bad part is, if they make bad decisions, they are still our kid, but our life goes on!. We have plans and dreams and things to do with our lives other than baby our children that have decided to take chances with their lives!. A teenager that has decided to have sex has made adult decisions and is now an adult whether they want to be or not!. That was their decision!. But it does not make us, the parents love them any less if we are decent parents!. They will always be our child even when they are 40 or 60!. But some children choose or accidently end up being adults sooner that others!.
