Why are Christians viewed 'narrow minded'?!
Question: Why are Christians viewed 'narrow minded'!?
In a recent response to an unrelated question "Nurse Molly" felt the need to state - "It's that Fundamentalist Christian way of rabid asserting that "MY BELIEFS COME DIRECTLY FROM GOD and are the ONLY RIGHT BELIEFS" which will continue to be problematic!."
Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, etc!. all claim to be the ONE TRUE FAITH, yet only Christians get the flack for being narrow minded!.
In fact, all of the faiths above have a history of bloodshed over their beliefs!. No Christian defends the Crusades, and most know that this was political (for the loot) and not spiritual!. Just as most Islamists will not defend 9/11!.
To each his own but my question is WHY are we looked at as the problem religion!?
Jesus Christ himself would not condemn a prostitute, instead he said all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, none of us are above anyone else in the world - of course anybody can be smug - but it is not a part of our faith, it is in fact against it!.
