No, not everyone has "flat-screen" TVs yet!.
I have two flat screen TVs;
1!. A Panasonic 42" Plasma HDTV to watch regular TV, HDTV and DVDs!. Plasma TVs (the one that I have at least) cannot be used to play PS3 games because of "burn-in" of the game images!.
2!. A heavy Toshiba 32" "flat" glass CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) HDTV mostly to play PS3 games!. This was needed so as to avoid "burning in images" from the games!.
The second TV is also useful for watching two different channels at a time!. It also has a much more brilliant picture!.
The 42" Plasma sits on a sofa table which is located on the wide and deep fireplace shelf!.
The 32" CRT flat screen sits just beneath the table and fits perfectly into the unused fireplace!.
Thus they take up hardly any space at all!. And, they both use and are patched through the Panasonic 600W Digital "Dolby" Surround Sound system!.

Our big, heavy, box one bit the dust about a year ago!. We got two flatscreen Sony TVs, & love them!. The HD picture is awesome, & they take up far less space!. The weight is nothing compared to the old one!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
No!. I still have a CRT 14" portable TV!. Best of all!. as it has a Scart socket on the back, this means that I can connect a digital receiver set top box to it without having to purchase a new TV!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Have one of each!. CL/UEFA cup match nights get complicated so two TV's are a must as does F1 coverage cos ITV is rubbish and you can fill the commercial gaps with RTL!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think a lot of people have flat screen now - we do!. It just looks cooler and takes up less space but if your box tv is working fine then there is no need to get rid of it!!! Www@Enter-QA@Com
I got big glass screen 32" , about 5/6 years old cost about ￡800!. It's OK does everthing Ok Will get flat one when this conks out , not before !. Www@Enter-QA@Com
