Question: !!!POLL!!! Are employer's looking at Veterans as Damaged Goods Now!?
I mean seriously I've got 7 years of Active Military / Supervisor / Management Experience (Air Force) as well as a *** Laude Undergrad working on my Graduate Degree!.
I can't seem to get any calls for any jobs I apply to (this is in Charlotte, NC) where the economy is still great, yet my wife who doesn't have a degree just some college and has been a stay at home mom for the past 7 years has gotten 3 to 4 calls one who basically wants her to start as soon as we move back to Charlotte in a month!.
What the heck I mean do employer's view us as damaged goods because we've been overseas and been in a Iraq I mean I've seen some nasty stuff (probably not as bad as Army or Marines) but still I've seen my fair share but it just doesn't bother me at all!.
It's not that I'm crazy or anything I Just realize war is ugly and it's a part of it and if I let it get to me it will run my life!.

The problem may be that you're trying to lateral over to a managerial position, rather than "work your way up" and show them that your skills merit that position!. I have 4 degrees and it still took me awhile to land a job!. I'm not anyone's boss, either!.
It might also be that your resume is too military, rather than written with civilians in mind!. Take advantage of your family support center's programs to review resumes, etc!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
