Answers:
Maybe they find it interesting, but have no idea what to answer, or they can't be bothered to answer!.
Sometimes I do that too, if a lot of people have given the right or the same answer and I also wanted too, then I just star it, because there is no point!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Because they think it is an interesting question but they don't know the answer to it but would like to see the answers coming in so they mark the question by giving it a star!. When it has a star it goes into your starred questions in your profile so saves going around the answer boards looking for it!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
Occasionally in Genealogy I will 'star' a question to draw it to the attention of one of my "Contacts" who has more knowledge and resources at her disposal than I!.

I sometimes star a question and not answer it!.
Only because what I have to say everyone else has written it before I got to answer!. So as not to repeat myself, I just leave a star!.

couple of reasons,,,
theyve hit their limit,
they like the question but
dont know the answer, or ju st plain and simple
they are a contact and want to help you out!
or it could be a troll thats trying to mess you up~

I've done it before when I get breathers I can't get around, cuz I want to go back and answer them, but half the time I forget to go back!. Sry if I did that to you, didn't mean to!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Maybe someone has used a star as a marker to answer later on or their answer has been covered by someone else already!.They think the question is good (unlike a lot on answers!) therefore award you a star!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

becuase, ppl have used up their stupid "daily limimts", they mite like a question and star it, but they cant answer it coz they have reached their limit! ya see!?
