Christmas - Presents or Jesus? (What do you celebrate XMAS for?)?!
Question: Christmas - Presents or Jesus!? (What do you celebrate XMAS for!?)!?
Answers:
Jesus of course, then I get presents!. =)Www@Enter-QA@Com
Well I'm quite spiritual the whole year round but I do enjoy all the shopping and things at Christmas!. I actually enjoy the shopping and baking more than I enjoy actually getting presents myself, though, so I'm hoping that it at least counts for something!. I also quite enjoy the Christmas Eve mass and then every year we go to a family Christmas party right after that!. That's probably my favorite part!. I just hope that my fastidious worship the whole year round makes up for the way we get a little materialistic around Christmastime!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I celebrate the Winter Solstice, and try not to get too bitter about the commercialization, the repetitive/uncreative carols, and the fact that a 'Christian' holiday is forced on everyone whether they wish to celebrate it or not!.
The only thing that cheers me up is having a family dinner, and that most things people do are actually Pagan in origin, whether they realize/admit it or not (Santa, 'Christmas' trees, presents, mistletoe, even burning wood in the fireplace)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I have always celebreated Christmas for Jesus, not for the presents!. Jesus is the real reason for the Christmas season and spirit!. Every Christmas I make sure I go to mass either at the Midnight Mass or on Christmas day itself!. I don't like the fact that people obsess over presents during the Christmas season instead of focusing on the real meaning of Christmas!. To me, Christmas is meant for Jesus, to spend time with family and friends and to be very joyful!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
presents
i dont believe that Jesus was born on Christmas Day, but actually in October and it is all b/c of the churches wanting to get Pagans to follow the Catholics that they set it at December 25Www@Enter-QA@Com
