Personally, I would disagree, for the time being!. Of course, that may change once I'm older, and perhaps, even a father!. I've noticed that I've disagreed with everything my mother has told me since I turned 13, yet, every other year following, I realize she's right!. I'm used to quotes like the one you listed, and I still hear those ******* things day after day!. I'm 21 next month and still have to put up with hearing, "I'm in control of your life!. You have no right to be!." When I hear that, I want to dash over to the kitchen, grab a knife, then start jabbing it into her neck!. But it's true!.!.!.as long as I'm eating her food, using her co-signature for school, and sleeping in my bed for free, I guess I don't have any rights!. That would change if I were to move out, but I know I'd be crawling right back home where money is of little issue!. also, my mother never wants to listen to me, and quite frankly because of that, I haven't been sharing what goes on in my social life or mind for several years now!. As morally wrong it may seem for her not to know these things, it doesn't matter, because I at least know I'm a pretty damn good kid!. Besides, it isn't like we'll be at home much longer!. Chugga-chugga-chugga-chuggin on through the years to independence!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree with the "I am not your sister, I am not your friend" part, because that's what my parents always told me!. BUT, I think that parents should listen to their kids, because parents learn from their kids, as much as kids learn from their parents!. also you have to educate your kids to the fact that they DO have rights, because you don't want them to grow up to be passive, and naive!.
