If you give someone a cold then odds are if you stay around long enough they may give it back to you!.
As hurting someone deeply that is more Machiavellian in the way that translates into what will happen to others, namely the harm may come from those closest to the person hurt if you do not kill them all!.
It is not fate but physics!. For every action there will be an equal and opposite reaction!. Considering things going around there is nothing to be acted upon so like a merry go round it just keeps going around and around and around forever!.
I simply don't see it as fate!.

I have to believe that what goes around comes around!. I don't believe in getting revenge on someone, I think that what they did to me they will do to someone else and eventually they will get what is coming to them!.

My perception of it would be that yes, what comes round does go round!.!.!.!.!.!.!. so if you hurt someone deeply then you are basically crushing your own heart, spirit and soul because you then have to atone the awful feeling of remorse and guilt for inflicting pain on a fellow soul!.
