Yes, I do feel that in certain situations especially if there is some gray area as to who is right and who is wrong!. However, I have also learned there is an art to apoligizing that puts it back on the other person to think about if they are at all a self consciuos person!. You can say things like:
I'm sorry if you feel I offended you!.
I'm sorry that you feel that way!.

Being right has nothing to do with it!. If you argue, apologize and tactfully move on to a less sensitive topic!. If you feel it necessary to talk about "IT" (your relationship) be prepared for your partner to lose interest after about fifteen minutes of analysis of feelings and how to express them!. I would turn glassy eyed in five, but some partners are more tolerant of such nonsense!.
