Why do we press harder on the remote when we know the batteries are flat..?!

Question: Why do we press harder on the remote when we know the batteries are flat!.!.!?
Answers:
Because it can work! Most remotes work by having a semi-conductor pad under the keys, and it's conductivity increases with the pressure of pressing a key (Or put another way, the resistance decreases the harder you press it) So pressing really hard may reduce the resistance to a point where it can work even on a lower current!.

At least , that's my theory and I'm sticking to it!Www@Enter-QA@Com
