i have had mine 2 years going on 3 i have no gum problems, my tooth hasn't chipped, my tongue is fine!.!?

Actually, the bible DOES say that you can not mar yourself, which means tattoos!. piercings, etc!. It's in the Torah (or Old Testament)!.
Aside from that!.!.!.!. piercing your tongue is asking for eventual trouble!. Maybe nothing has happened yet, but it will if you leave it in long enough!. I hope you see your dentist twice a year so he/she can keep an eye on it for you!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think its wrong to pierce any part of your body!.
