For - my grandma had dementia and towards the end she knew nothing or nobody!. She lay in her bed year in year out in her own silent world!. She was such a strong woman and I know if she could have told us she would have asked us to end it for her!. I'll get loads of thumbs down for having this opinion but I don't care - you have an animal put down if it is suffering don't you!? xxWww@Enter-QA@Com
This is a very emotive subject but as this is truely meant , voluntary euthansia then Yes But my major concern is how long before the State takes over and decides who lives or dies!. Be careful people that secnario may not be far away

Definately for!. When I had a bad episode with my Crohn's disease earlier this year, I was in constant pain for weeks!. You get so fed up of being in pain and just want it to go away, but you try your best to get on with it!. That was only for a matter of weeks, so I think if I was in that amount of pain for years then I would want out!. People who are in pain continually for years I think should be allowed to end their life if they choose to!. If they are unable to do it themselves then as long as they make it clear officially that they want to die then someone should be able to do it for them, like in Switzerland!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

People that commit euthanasia don't do it out of being depressed or with a death wish !.!.!. these people pick it cause the circumstances they were dealt are way too much for them to bare and survive!.

I had an aunt who opted for euthanasia when she had terminal cancer!. She probably could have lived a few months longer, but she didn't want to suffer the slightest of pains or discomforts and had set a date!. Only her daughters and husband were allowed to be with her the day before and her life was celebrated at her bedside in the hospital with champagne and delicatessen, which she couldn't swallow anyway!. The act was scheduled for the next day at 3 p!.m!. I suppose the hospital phoned the following day at 3:30 that the “job” had been done!. Of course they would have phrased it more decently, but the essence was the same!. This was about 11 years ago, but I am still horrified by the casual manner it was discussed and decided at the time!. I find this procedure highly unethical!. Despite this, I am still in favour of the principle of euthanasia if all other means to control the suffering have been exhausted, but in an ethical manner!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Odd how people are getting confused between euthanasia and capital punishment!
I'm for euthanasia as I certainly wouldn't want myself or anyone I love to have to suffer with a terminal illness!.

i am not sure if you are referring to animals or to convicts but either way , for animals it is humane for some animals to be put to sleep and not have to suffer anymore from illnesses or injuries!. for convicts i do believe in the death penalty for certain offenses!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I used to be against euthansia, however, after watching a few people die from cancer and alzheimers I have changed my mind!. Until we have a definitive cure for diseases like ALS, cancer and alzheimers, I say that we should allow it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
i would say for!.!.!. but only when the patient has been diagnosed with a "terminal" illness!. also only when that patient requests!. sometimes it might be easier on everybody involved to end it sooner rather than later with all the pain and suffering!.
