Yea but look at the way is going, we have nukes now, terrorist are fighting to get tehre hands on nukes!. DOnt forget that we have an asteroid that wil get extremly close that year, what if through its jorney in space something happens and it does hit us!? what if whiel its zooming through space something hits it a little to the left or whatever and that makes it hit earth directly!. THe Mayans had little tech and yet were able to calcuate the distance of the moon and many other things!.
