Because rather then report on issues like poverty, homelessness, lack of proper healthcare, gun violence, etc!. they choose to spend their time talking about Obama's faith or McCain's skin cancer or the personality traits of Michelle Obama versus Cindy McCain or the S!.O!.B!. GW Bush!.
The media in the United States (Fox, Nancy Grace, Hannity & Colmes, O'Reilly) is notorious for dumbing down the news because we allow them to do that to us and the majority of Americans are apathetic and only care about themselves!.
