Well-meaning friends can often knock the wind out of your dream sails!. Sometimes this is a good reality check, sometimes it's lack of insight on their part!.
If, after examining your dreams, and you find them still valid goals for you, then you can set sail once again!.
I've done it, not only in my writing life, but my spiritual life as well!.
