I have Vonage and I am getting rid of it!. I can't be on the computer and phone at the same time, it seems pointless so I'm getting rid of Vonage!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, I think you might be talking about two different technologies!. VOIP, or Voice Over Internet Protocol takes an analog signal (your voice) and converts it to digital information which is then sent via TCP/IP packets over the internet to something that puts the packets back together and converts to digital information back to analog so the other person can hear it (this is a very basic way to describe it)!.

Most bundle packages, like with the phone company and DSL, works differently!. With this, voice and data share the same physical medium, but because they operate on different frequencies they do not interfere with each other!. That's why you can talk on the phone and download the latest MP3 or YouTube video without problem!.

If you are using VOIP, like Vonage or something, it will work great when you are not doing anything else on the internet!. However, if you are transmitting data back and forth on the internet, your voice quality with those services will go down dramatically!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
