Students in the US are required to take another language!. It is just that the teaching technique is so bad that few of them actually learn to speak the language!. They just learn to conjugate verbs and read in it!. So once out of the classes, even if they got good grades, they quickly forget it because they are unable to speak it and therefore use it!. Likewise Universities require foreign languages, with the same problem!. Conversational language is just not taught!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think it's a good idea, I think just having them learn another language is fine & letting them learn the basics is enough, they don't have to learn it perfectly!. also It's great because alot of the kids who come from different countries & cultures forget their native language & that will help them not forget it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think that it's a good idea!. All of the other countries require their children to learn other languages, so why shouldn't we!? I think that the US is behind in that!. It's like we're too conceited to learn another language and wait for everyone else in the world to speak English!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

well I agree with the part of having a person known at least one foreign language fluently its a very good skill, but i dont think they should hold them back if they dont know it perfectly, if they can communicate on a regular bases then that's good!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
