Question: English better with an accent or without!?
I'm learning to speak English!. I write a lot but I almost never speak it!.
I have a friend from Chile who speaks 100% clear clean crisp perfect BBC English!. It's funny to see the English demand that she prove she's not from the UK!. Then I have another friend who is from Brazil like me and he says it's better to have some accent in English!. My question is what is better!? to have an accent or to speak just like an Englishman!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

it comletely depends!. In the UK, if someone has a very thick accent, the locals will assume that they don't know much english and therefore can't do their job as well!.!. and they end up doing really low-end jobs!.!. which kinda translates into all aspect of life, not just jobs!. People will assume your a street sweeper instead of a lawyer!.

one of my grandad's was german and he spoke very precise english with a small accent!.!.!.!.!.he was articulate and clear in everything he said but his accent made him who he was!.!.!.!.i think it is better to be clear!.!.!.and whether or not you retain an accent just makes it interesting!.!.!.!.!.!.!.from professor bronowski to sophia loren!.!.!.!.accents add colour!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
