CCTV In the place that you live!.!.!?!?
I am not knocking it but feel that in many cases when people are caught on camera doing all the stupid things they do, they rarely, if ever, get any sort of punishment!.!.
And to be fair verbal warnings are not worth the paper they are written on!.!.
So I ask is CCTV really as effective as it was supposedly designed to be!.!?!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

There are too many legal restrictions regarding CCTV, my neighbour has it after repeated vandal attacks on her car and property but the police have told her she cant show it to me to see if i can ID any of them because its probably breaking some privacy law, theyve also said she probably couldnt use it in court as evidence either so!.!.!.!.i dont think its as useful as it could be!. Local county CCTV can be used but rarely is, unless its for dog fouling the public highway or something along those lines!. Its never used against antisocial yobs!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
no i don't have CCTV in the place i live, there are good and bad things to be said about them,
as you say for stupid things like messing about, and other not so serious things, that nothing does become of this and no punishment is implemented,
then there are the cases of people going missing trying to trace that persons movements, and anyone being beaten up, plus other different things that CCTV can be use full for, but i think the full use of these and what they are for is never followed up due to lack resources, AnnWww@Enter-QA@Com

No, but we should have theres some scumbags running about the place spraying graffiti which is bad enough but now they've started to spray peoples private dwellings How disrespectful can people get!. At least with a CCTV the culprit could get caught and if thats by the locals so be it, see how they'd feel if they got a spray can in the face!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
CCTV is actually quite effective in my opinion!.
I work in a court and quite often CCTV is given as evidence and it's pretty hard to deny you did something when it's right there on video as proof- so that aspect of it is quite good!.
And yeah we have 2 CCTV cameras round our house, and i like the fact that if anyone broke in or did anything, they could be identified rather than not know who they were and what happenedWww@Enter-QA@Com

They have CCTV outside the shops near my father-in-laws house!.
Yobs hang around there being loud, grafting, drinking and generally making a mess and the police don't do anything about it!.
also my car got vandalised outside his house once and the police said that at that point in time the CCTV was facing the wrong way (its a swivel camera)!. So it's absolutely no use whatsoeverWww@Enter-QA@Com

Apparently we have CCTV in our town!. I can't say I'd noticed it!. Me and my parents have never heard of anyone being prosecuted due to evidence from the cameras!.
However, I know we have CCTV in our local secondary school!. Yes, there is a lot of vandalism there, but the cameras are *inside* the corridoors, so when people smash classroom windows they are more than useless!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

At my high school they had cameras down every hall!.!.!.!.!.I think it's because they were paranoid about kids bringing drugs and weapons to school!.!.!.cant say I blame them, but it did freak me out that they felt the need to have so many cameras!.

Yes i think that CCTV is affective but you do have a point!. CCTV is used for serious cases, and can sometimes match someone's face to a wanted criminals face!. It is really advanced!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
