Question: How can I keep my cool in this ridiculous heat!?
The heat is on! If you live someplace that gets extreme summer heat, you know this time of year can be pretty trying!. Add a healthy dose of humidity on top of high temperatures, and things can become downright unbearable!.
With the current state of the economy, it’s not surprising that many people either can’t afford air conditioning or are reluctant to run it as often as they might like!. Aside from camping out in front of an open refrigerator, I was wondering if Answers might have some creative ideas for beating the heat!. Wamibo has a very interesting method for cooling down his sheets before climbing into bed on those particularly hot nights!. I don’t know how comfortable I’d be trying to fall asleep in moist sheets, but it’s sure worth a shot!. Little Miss Big Mouth and mary suggest some creative ideas using wet towels!. I love the latter’s suggestion for putting bowls filled with water around the house in an effort to cool the stifling air!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Anyway--- a very thoughtful and timely effort on your part considering this is the 1st full day of SumHeat!.
I had heat stress, several years ago, being a hero!.!.!. no- being stupid!.!.!. and I really thought it was going to kill me!. Took weeks for recovery!. Ever since, I have very little tolerance to heat, and hafta be careful when it hits 89+
And I'm the guy who teaches the dangers of heat! LOL!
All very good suggestions here!. Everyone remember that the body acts like a car radiator!. The time to add water is before it overheats!. Slow down & reduce your exposure to it, and maintain your watch on that core temp!. The body has to sweat and we hafta keep it filled!. And NO! drinking hot coffee does not 'balance' your core temp!. Jeez! Me!? I'm gonna run the AC till I put a strain on the East Coast grid!. Conservation buffs can raise all the fuss they want!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
