Don't understand the question!? Names as in people naming their kids silver & gold!?!? There is no accounting for taste - look at celeb kids named cocoa and apple!!
Why ARE there names as silver and gold - as in silver and gold coins!? Because someone, somewhere, sometime discovered them and that's what they named them!.
