Answers:
Can't they do an MRI or Cat scan to show if you had a small stroke!? Sorry, that's not an answer, but I thought that would show if you had a stoke!.
If it was not a stroke, I found this info!. on Belly's palsy!.!.it might help to put your mind at ease some!.!.take care!.

WHAT ABOUT RECOVERY FROM BELL'S PALSY!?
Approximately 50% of Bells palsy patients will have essentially complete recoveries in a short time!. Another 35% will have good recoveries in less than a year!.

Regardless of the trigger, Bell's palsy is best described as an event - trauma to the nerve!. As with any other injury, healing follows!. The quality and duration of recovery is dependent on the severity of the initial injury!. If the nerve has suffered nothing more than a mild trauma, recovery can be very fast, taking several days to several weeks!. An "average" recovery is likely to take between a few weeks and a few months!. The nerve regenerates at a rate of approximately 1-2 millimeters per day, and can continue to regenerate for 18 months, probably even longer!. Improvement of appearance can continue beyond that time frame!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Oh, Rousseau! I wish I could be there for you (I like you so much)!. I think I'd be freaking out, too!. We both work in health care and know a little too much for our own good, don't we!? Since you're a nurse, you KNOW you will be watched closely!. Have you suffered some paralysis!? Just so you know!.!.!.!. my aunt had several TIA's(she lost count) before I was finally able to talk her into going to the doctor about it!. Fortunately, her doctor ordered a vascular sonogram of her carotid arteries, plaque was found, and he performed an endarterectomy!. She never had a full-blown stroke!. She was lucky!.!.!.!.!.!.as are you!.!.!.!.!.because you are now under a doctor's care which, as you know, greatly reduces the chances of a major event!.

You also know that even under a doctor's care, trust your instinct!. If something doesn't seem right, question it!. Don't let him/her brush anything off!.

Do you feel that being a nurse when YOU'RE the patient just means that you know too much medical lingo for comfort!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Oh wow!. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to freak, as that will not help with your recovery!. Sending you lots of well wishes and positive thoughts!. Hope you are back to your normal self soon!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If they let you go home, it's probably not as bad as you think it is!. If they leave you in there hooked up to machines and call your family in, then I'd begin to worry!.!.!.!.!.
