We usually do end up telling some kind of jokes or humorous anecdotes at family funerals!. Part of the thing we like to remember about the person was the wonderful sense of humor they had!. My grandfather was always getting people to laugh at things -to not have some good laughs at his funeral would have seemed inappropriate!
"Always go to other people's funerals, otherwise they won't go to yours!."

no, but it's totally appropriate- people do still need their spirits lifted- even if it lasts only a moment!. i believe in an afterlife, so if the deceased decided to check out his funeral, he'd probably appreciate it, too!
Plus, the one who died would want the mood lightened- they are not suffering- just we are! i knew someone who said he wanted everyone to wear bright colors and have a party instead of a funeral when he died- he said that he'd be happy where he was at and wanted the same for everyone else!Www@Enter-QA@Com
