I think money won is sweeter because there's none of the frustration and aggravation connected to the usual salary!. (I had 10 years in a "job from Hell" that nearly killed me~actually!) With won money, it's one of those moments when, if you spend it on something besides bills, it does not carry as much guilt!. You might tell yourself, "I should use it to pay this or that, but!.!.!."
After all, it's money you wouldn't normally have~like opening a card from a relative who has decided to send you some "folding money" to have fun with!.
Yes, in the past, I've had to use anything extra on bills!. So, I know how sweet it is to have a bit of extra money to buy myself a treat when I haven't had anything to spare for a long time!. "Free" money is WHEE money!

Earning is associated with working as per procedure and is always assured as per some conditions of the job!.
Winning on the other hand is a relative term with equal chances of Loosing as well!.
Hence one cannot expect for sure any amount of money to be won!. So we are not at liberty to plan with what we are going to win, unlike with money being earned!.
Hence there can be no comparison among these two!.
