On the special features section of Supernatural Season 2 on DVD, some professional psychiatrist lady or something said that most people who are afraid of clowns experienced some trauma in their childhood!.

I'm not afraid, I don't hate them, you know!? they have to smile in the outside, thay have to wear that grotesque smile on their faces, but do we really know what's in their inside!? have we realized that behind those smiles and that make up, there's a normal human being with problems like everybody, taht needs to cry inside, but laugh outside!.
