Answers:
just some general observations:

1) usually to distinguish them from others with the same first and last names, especially if they are common names!. how many people do you think have been named "alex bell" or "marty king"!?

2) another good reason - may people are called by their middle names by their friends, family, etc!. so when it comes to identifying them officially, it is easiest on all involved to use all three names - i fall in this category!.

3) finally, many assassins are often called by all three names, probably to distinguish them from any other poor souls who may happen to share the same first and last names!. it would have sucked to have been named "john booth", "lee oswald", "mark chapman", "james ray", or "sara moore" if that's how the media (or history books) referred to the assassins, or would-be assassins!. in those cases, using the full name saved the reputations (and sometimes the lives) of many people!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I know Edgar Allen Poe wasn't actually his name!. At least not in that order!. There was a bunch of stuff about him being taken in by the foster family and honoring his mother's name, so he took the name Edgar Allen Poe as his professional name!. I can't remember the exact way it went now!. Either Allan was his mother's last name or the family who took him in!. As for the rest of them, I don't know!. Maybe that's just what they went by like Billy Bob Thornton!. If he goes by Billy Bob, why not say his whole name!?
Although, I can't imagine anyone being called Alexander Graham all the time!. LOL!. That's a mouthful! I guess in his case, it made him sound more distinguished or somethingWww@Enter-QA@Com

I guess it just sounds better, or maybe somebody has the same first and last name as them!.

But doesnt Edgar Allen Poe sound better than Edgar Poe!?

I think so!.

so do the restWww@Enter-QA@Com
