Stupid question time?!

Question: Stupid question time!?
Would you trust an airplane pilot that was buddist, the reason i ask is because buddists have that whole death is just the beginning thing and if the planes falling to earth they'd see it as karma for something they done in a past life and not try to pull the plane from a nosedive!. Stupid question i know but hey-ho i'm nuts and bored!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:

Hey!! you misunderstand about Buddhist!.
Middle Way
Main article: Middle Way
An important guiding principle of Buddhist practice is the Middle Way which was said to have been discovered by the Buddha prior to his enlightenment (bodhi)!. The Middle Way or Middle Path has several definitions:

It is often described as the practice of non-extremism; a path of moderation away from the extremes of self-indulgence and opposing self-mortification!.
It also refers to taking a middle ground between certain metaphysical views, e!.g!. that things ultimately either exist or do not exist!.[67]
An explanation of the state of nirvana and perfect enlightenment where all dualities fuse and cease to exist as separate entities (see Seongcheol)!.

[edit] The Four Noble Truths
Main article: The Four Noble Truths
According to the Macmillan Encyclopedia of Buddhism (2004),[70] these are

"the noble truth that is suffering"
"the noble truth that is the arising of suffering"
"the noble truth that is the end of suffering"
"the noble truth that is the way leading to the end of suffering"
According to the scriptures, the Four Noble Truths were among the topics of the first sermon given by the Buddha after his enlightenment,[71] which was given to the five ascetics with whom he had practised austerities!. The Four Noble Truths were originally spoken by the Buddha not in the form of a religious or philosophical text, but in the manner of a medical diagnosis and remedial prescription in a style that was common at that time!. The early teaching[72] and the traditional understanding in the Theravada[73] is that these are an advanced teaching for those who are ready for them!. The Mahayana position is that they are a preliminary teaching for people not yet ready for the higher and more expansive Mahayana teachings!.[74] They are little known in the Far East!.[75]

If you have truly knowledge of The Buddhism faith!.!.!. You won't say like Stupid question time!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I gave you a star! Because I think your question is very good!

You are right I mean how could you trust someone that believes death is simply moving on and is punishment!. However they are probably trained and know what they are doing!. However if the plane was about to crash, who knows what they are thinking!. I guess we all have to cross out fingers and hope for the best!

Believing in Karma and the fact that death is only the beginning doesn't mean they are suicidal!.

Even a Buddhist will act to save the lives of others if they can!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I don't trust anyone, that's my religion!. Just because someone is of a different culture or belief doesn't mean that they are less trustworthy than the Christian man flying another plane!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
