What do you do when people litter? Or are you the litterer...?!

Once I was at Costco and this lady threw her fork behind her on the ground and went in the line to pay for groceries!. I saw it and wasn't thinking and I kicked the fork as hard as I could at her leg and said "You forgot your fork"
She glared at me!.
