Question: Anyone else think the grammar that users on Yahoo Answers are using to pose questions is atrocious!?
Just something that I've noticed in the time that I've been here!. I was wondering if anyone else feels the same way!. I actually have a hard time trying to answer some users questions because of how awful the spelling is!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Astute observation, I agree with you one hundred percent!. I mean, slang is ok, but words like "tome" for "tummy", wtf!? Sometimes, like you, I don't even know what the person is trying to ask, and get frustrated trying to analyze their question, only to realize that it's a complete waste of time trying to reason with someone who communicates like a 5 year old!. Sorry for venting!. Yes, I have noticed too, and it makes me insane!Www@Enter-QA@Com
I agree!. And I have had the same proble!. I read a question but had no idea what it said!. I admit sometimes I'l be a little lazy and keep all lower case, but I always try to spell things correctly!. And if it's spelled wrong, it is still readable!. And another thing is the random answers and the foul language!. It's just laziness to get 2 points when other people work hard for those points!.
P!.S!. don't get me wrong, i'm not a freek about it!. it's not that big of a deal!. it's not like "OMC(oh my chezaslavakia) what is wrong with these people" it's more like "people should put a little more effort in theor answers!." it's atrocious, but not appawling!.

Grammar is a key essential to understanding someone!.!. usually if the question isn't understandable I just ignore it!. What my English teacher said to me
"I helped my uncle Jack off the horse!." Vs "I helped my uncle jack off the horse!."

Yes, and it is a major problem despite what some may think!. I have not only read many a question which I could not decipher but, even worse in some respects, I have heard many a conversation in English by urban young people (white kids mostly) where I could not understand what they were saying!!! or at least a significant portion of these conversations were incomprehensible!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

This is like a new language, only somewhat similar to the written English form!.
This goes to show that the educational system is a joke, and that by not forcing children to truly learn, soon we will pay the consequences!.
Remember these are the people that will end up being our nurses and care providers when we are old!.

I agree!. We all make spelling mistakes, which is even easier to do on a keyboard, but when you see SEVERAL mistakes!?!?!.!.UGH !! I also have a problem with the way questions are worded in the first place, trying to figure out just what the person wants me to answer ca be a puzzle!Www@Enter-QA@Com
Definitely!. Sometimes I don't even know where to begin when reading people's questions!. I'll admit that my spelling and grammar isn't fabulous but I try to make my questions and answers as easy to read as possible!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It may be the least of problems but it still is annoying, I used to talk like that but my brother set me stright!.!. What's the point of using grammer like that just talk normal!.!. Yes!. I agree with you on all points!. The occasional typo and mispelled words can be forgiven!. I can even deal with things such as substituting "U" for "You"!. But grammar-wise!.!.!. Not even just spelling, but not knowing the difference between 'they're' and 'their'!. Or 'your' and 'you're'

I make mistakes with spelling sometimes, but a lot of people are horrible!. Some on purpose and some not!. I have always been big on spelling and grammar, so I just skip questions that I can not read or understand!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
