Something that you know is broken (for some time now), yet you haven't found anybody willing and capable of doing !?

This is from someone who is an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree (FEMALE) !.!.!.
YOU Can easily FIX the DOORKNOB yourself -- go to your local Hardware Store and ASK them for their advice! IF you need to -- changing out the doorknob is VERY EASY -- it takes less than 5 minutes (at least for me) -- and the tools needed are very SIMPLE INDEED!.
ME -- I need to keep working on my College Courses (I am back in College for FUN -- I am currently studying Computer Programming/Logic) !.!.!. and after I get that work done -- I need to get back to removing MORE of the old Wall-to-Wall Carpet and keep going on putting down my NEW Tile (for the Common Areas) and Wood (for the Bedrooms) flooring!
YEP -- doing it MY SELF !.!. and I use my own Tile Saw, Compound Mitre Saws, etc!. I LOVE doing the fixing -- and the results -- well, let's just say that they are GREAT!Www@Enter-QA@Com

lol I have the same problem, but it's my bathroom door!. The knob keeps pulling off when you try to open it from inside!. Thankfully, so far, it's only happened while someone is close by!. If it happened to me in the middle of the night or during the day when hubby is at work and junior is at school, I'd be screwed!. I can't apply enough pressure to squeeze that
knob-stem-thingie and pull the door open because of my ulnar neuropathy!. And I would be stuck in the bathroom until someone came to save me!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Too be honest he looks around everyday checking if there si anything to fix,BUT tonight I went to reverse the car to go out and I slammed in my visitors car that was parked outside the garage!.HE FLIPPED at me!.!.so that is his next project!.!.lol
