Question: LADIES: when you walk past builders or workmen of any sort, do they wolf whistle at you and!.!.!.!?
make you feel uncomfortable!? My next door neighbour is having his house done, and the builders and workmen are always wolf whistling and making crude remarks whenever I go outside, which is a lot!. :| It's made it a bit awkward going out!.

Growing up, I was always the "fat/ugly" looking girl, or so I was told!. As I started maturing I went through the "ugly duck to swan" phase and life just happened to do a 180!. The guys who used to want to be just "a friend" or who would make fun of me, suddenly wanted to hook up and the girls that used to give me the "I'm better than you look" turned to "oohhh!.!.!. competition!." Long story short, it just goes to show how immature this world is!. I live in a (excuse the honesty here but) shitttyyyyy assss part of AZ and just walking two miles down the street to see my husband to be (in just a matter of hours yay :D) at work, I get honks, wolf calls, whistles etc!. It just makes me want to throw my hair up and put on all of my guys clothes!. Even so, the fact that this type of crude behavior goes on is ridiculous!. You get harassed when your not what social standards say is "attractive" and you get harassed even when you supposedly are "pretty!." People need to grow up, not just by their age!!!!!
As far as your personal situation goes, your best bet is to stay to the other side of the street (if your walking by or in front of your neighbors house) and ignore them best you can!. I understand your situation sweety, really I do, so this is the best advice I can give you!. also, try to show least interest in what they have to say as possible!. Don't even acknowledge them when they try to "compliment" you!. If it continues I would strongly recommend you find out the name of the company they work for and report it IMMEDIATELY!. Your best bet would also be to report it annomously seeing how they ARE right next door to you for the time being!.
