!.!.!.I've always been amazed at those who are multi lingual for I personally find learning another language to be difficult!.!.!.I was at a Chinese Restaurant recently where the owner was trying to teach me a few Chinese words and phrases!.!.!.I could tell by his eyes that I was "lacking"!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

English, Mandarin and Malay!. also dialects like Cantonese, Hokkien and Hainanese, though not so fluent!.
I am keen in mastering Spanish, Tagalog, Hindi and French as my life-time goals!. But that would take many years and some travelling,for sure :-p Get yourself really passionate, arm yourself with appropriate dictionaries/conversational tapes and also interact frequently with those who know the languages you wish to learn!. I speak English, and I understand little bit of Vietnamese because my parents are Vietnamese!. I spoke it before I started school, but then I had to learn English so I forgot all the Vietnamese!. I tried to learn again a few years ago but I found it too hard to learn at that school, so now I just try speak it at home as often as possible with my parents!. Well, they speak!. English and spanish!. Even though I am hispanic in heritage I learned all my spanish in college!. My dad thought knowing spanish would cripple us so didn't teach us!. Mom was raised in an orphanage so didn't speak spanish either!. The U!.S!. is one of the only countries that isn't predominantly bi or trilingual, that is sad to me!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
