no its usually the director but the actor/actress can sometimes change the character and script if it doesnt work or is weird!. like in the movie "dreamer" dakota fanning's part was originally a boy but the director met dakota fanning and was blown away so he changed the part to a girls partWww@Enter-QA@Com
