It's really stupid I must say but I cannot forget the words someone said to me about the money they paid me for cat/house sitting for them for one month while they went to China with their daughter to pick up the baby she adopted!. I stayed at the house all the time but for 5 days when I had somewhere else to go!. However, I still stopped at their house for those 5 days twice a day!. They left me $120 for food, which I did not expect or ask them to!. They wrote me a check for $750 when they got home, which totally floored me as we did not set up any payment agreement before they left!.
The next time I watched the house and cat it was only for a long week-end!. He asked me how much I wanted and I told him $50!. He laughed and said "well, that's fair!. Not like that ridiculous sum we paid you before"!. I was stunned and speechless!. I took my check and left!. He really pissed me off because it was their decision to pay that much, which I deserved for that long of a period of time and going there twice a day when I was not physically there over night but I would never have asked for that much myself!.
It still ticks me off when I think about it and I cannot seem to forget about it!. Silly huh!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
