Question: Poll: Which is better: life in a rural area, large city or the suburbs!?
Answers:
for me, rural areaWww@Enter-QA@Com

Suburbs can get pretty quiet unless you live next to a street!.

Rural areas tend to get way too comfortable since all you can see is farm land and crops!. And some lucky individuals get to experience the smell of cow poop as well!.

City life, NO too noisy, dusty, noise pollution, air pollution, and sometimes "crime pollution"!.

Suburbs, is the solution, you get a mixture of both such as relatively easy access to grocery markets and shopping malls and such!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Rural areas and small places are not a good place, cause people have nothing better to do than to gossip about each other, and living there for a longer time would become quite boring
Large cities are not good either, they're bad for one's health because of all that traffic and noise!.And the people are all in a hurry, pissed of and kinda estranged!.!.!.
Hm,I'll go with the suburbs, though I find smaller cities are the ideal place to live!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I've lived in both a rural area and a big city and I'd like to live in the suburbs!. A rural area was good for growing up as a child cos there were lots of picnics in the country etc but once you get to your teens theres nothing to do!. Living in the city is fun when your 18+ but in the summer you do miss seeing green fields and get sick of looking at cars and grey concrete! So the suburbs are a nice medium I think!Www@Enter-QA@Com

It is a very subjective issue, but I personally found that my preference changed throughout my life!.

As a kid I grew up on the out skirts of a large city in the tropics!.!.!. it would be considered "the burbs" by location, but it was swamp and poverty!.!.!. more like wild rural!. As a kid that didn't have to work or drive or worry about anything but school and play, I loved it! Running loose in the wilds, watching the animals, building tree forts, swimming and fishing!.!.!. it was my piece of heaven because I could entertain myself and didn't need a lot of human company!. I built a strong, healthy body and learned first hand about nature, "ecology" and many of the more subtle life lessons!.

Because I was near a large cosmopolitan city, I began to appreciate aspects of city life that are not readily available in the country or burbia!. As a young single I enjoyed the night clubbing and bustle of the masses!.!.!. the exposure to different cultures instilled a worldly perspective!. Work and housing was abundant, the variety of foods and shopping venues abound, and the costs were tempered by competition!. I took advantage of the many higher educational offerings, built a career, ran my own business, and grew into a good, solid life!.

Now as a retired Elder, I have chosen to live in a rural area out from a small, young city!. I enjoy watching it grow, but am glad I won't be around by the time it becomes another Sacramento!. I came for the lesser crime, the relative quiet, and to return to a more natural setting and a simpler lifestyle!.

I thrilled in my "Heyday"!.!.!. but now cookie cutter Suburbia and the Concrete Jungle dulls my brain and pains my spirit!.

Though it may be boring to some, I still know how to entertain myself and learned that quality company is more important than quantity!.

I can swim and fish in the lakes and rivers, keep my various pets, grow my own food, walk alone safely, see the stars, and take in the scents and sounds of nature!.

What is better for you depends on what you are doing, and what you want to do with your life!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

suburbs suck!
they're full of arrogant, pampered soccer moms who think they know everything!. they drive wasteful massive hummer-type suv's!. suburbs have no soul!.
