Question: What can I but my dad for his birthday!?
I have no idea!. I was thinking wine or cider but I want to get him something special!. Seen as though it's his 40th birthday!.
Please don't say take him out for a meal or anything, i'm already throwing him a suprise party!.

How about buying a Scrapbook and find pictures that show his life and make a wonderful memory book for him!. And one day when he is gone, you will have the book to treasure as well!. My parents loved it when I made these!. I just made my mom one because she has Alzheimer's and it's hard for her to remember sometimes!.

I think the surprise party is a great idea and he'll be really happy with that!. I would say it's not necessary for you to buy him a gift as well!. But if you still want to, maybe go in together with your siblings or other family members and get him a gift certificate for a really nice meal out for him and your mom or another guest, somewhere he likes, to be used later!.

How about getting a few sheets of pretty paper, cutting them up into 40 strips and then writing something really nice on each piece, reasons why you love him, what things make you smile about him, why you appreciate him etc, then put all the pieces of paper into a nice box and tie it with a nice ribbon and give it to him on his 40th birthday, its something totally unique, costs nothing and he will treasure it forever!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
