My family drove from where we live in San Diego, California, to Jacksonville, Flordia when I was about eight!. We stopped a lot on the way, so it took a couple of weeks!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Yes!. You can do it in 5 days!. But, when I did it!.!.!.!. I took a lot of time and pulled a Travel Trailer!. Three weeks is a good amount of time to visit tourists spots along the way and act like you're on vacation!.
The question is!.!.!.!. are you trying to get somewhere or are you doing it for fun!.
Note: It's about 3,000 miles!. Over 5 days, that is 600 miles a day!. At 60 mph average, that's 10 hours of driving!. Add in fuel stops, 2 food stops, and a few bathroom rest stops, and you're looking at 12 hour days!. Unless you're under 25, these are VERY long days of driving back-to-back!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

A friend of mine drove sraight through from Cincinnati, Ohio to Los angeles, California and it took him 37 hours!.!. ohio isn't on the east coast but it might help you to figure it out!. Hope it helps!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Yeah, when we moved from cali to maryland (it sucks)!. it took 3 days, but we stayed at a hotel for 1 night, then drove for another 24 hours, and stopped in a hotel for the rest of the day!. it hurts ur back, and i got a nosebleed!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
You can do it in five days if you drive for about 12 hours per day!.

Florida to California!. Took us a week!. a few stops!. Man, was I glad to get out and walk around in California! =)
