How can a fire burn terrain when it rained the whole day before?!
Question: How can a fire burn terrain when it rained the whole day before!?
I took my daughters to my parents house in the Upland Hlls so I could go on a lunch date, they live very close to a new fire that has just started!. How can it burn when the day before it rained almost all day!? I hope this isn't going to be what happened to California a year or so ago, it seemed that the fires were everywhere and would never end!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I live in SoCal and we have this problem, it is possible because the vegetation may already be dead, just because it rains, the ground might be damp but the plant life that is dead don't take up any water, so it will still burn, also, if there is low humidity in the air the day after a rain, it will evaporate fast!. also after a fire goes through an area and destroys the plant life, some weeds that move in may not be as fire resistant as the former plants!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
It hasn't rained enough to keep the all dry underbrush from being very combustible!.
All that material that has accumulated from years of semi-drought conditions is still very vulnerable!.
Plus, fires, once started essentially generate their own weather patterns!. They are very much alive and move with the most suitable fuel available to it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Brush fire and forest fires burn at a temperature that is hot enough to evaporate the moisture contained in the material that's burning before it has a chance to snuff out the fire!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
OK ,it might have rained but the soil is cork dry so it is gone in no time:plants get no change to even absorb some,hence those fires!.

we always wet the area around the fire we're about to light so it doesn't spread!.!.!.!.!.it's going to be hard to light a fire if it rained really hard the day before, but it can be done!.!.!.!.!.just burns like crap!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
