I take issue with the word "let" because it implies that your spouse/mate is your property!. So, that makes it my partner's choice!. If he says yes, then I have choices to make about things like how I would feel after, what this does to my value system, commitment, how badly we need the money!. But would the money rightly be mine if he was the one who was "earned" it!?
