As a young single woman, I've never thought that was a good idea!. I haven't ever done it on my own, but once when I was little my family was on our way to church and we saw a teenage girl walking in the rain and crying and we stopped to offer her a ride home!. I haven't thought about it in years, I hope she's okay!.
I've hitchhiked myself once, also when I was young!. Our car broke down on the side of the road and while my dad was trying to fix it I just stood on the curb and stuck my thumb out and an old lady stopped for us right away!. I was like five or six and my dad was not too happy with me, but we got home safely! :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

A guy was on the side of the road hitchhiking on a very dark night and in the middle of a storm!.
The night was rolling on and no car went by!. The storm was so strong he could hardly see a few feet ahead of him!.
Suddenly he saw a car coming toward him and stop!.
Without thinking about it, the guy got into the back seat, closed the door and then realized there was nobody behind the wheel!
The car started slowly, the guy looked at the road and saw a curve coming his way!.
Scared, he started to pray begging for his life!. He hadn't come out of shock, when just before he hit the curve, a hand appeared through the window and moved the wheel!.
The guy, paralyzed in terror, watched how the hand appeared every time right before a curve!.
Gathering his strength, the guy finally jumped out of the car and ran to the nearest town!.
Wet and in shock, he went to a restaurant and started telling everybody about the horrible experience he went through!.
A silence enveloped everybody when they realized the guy was serious!.
About half an hour later, two guys walked in the same restaurant!. They looked around for a table when one said to the other,
"Look John, that's the guy who got in the car when we were pushing it!."Www@Enter-QA@Com

When I was in art school, I picked up a pregnant woman in downtown Oakland who asked me for a ride across town!. Once in the car, she started stroking my inner thigh and asking me for money!. I showed her my empty wallet and let her out immediately!.

Only when someone else was with me, never when I'm along, and it went fine!. He was out of gas so we took him to the store to get some!.
I can't tell you how many times I've been broken down on the side of the road, no cell phone, wishing with all my heart that someone would stop and no one ever did so I had to walk 3 miles (or more) to the nearest gas station/pay phone!. It sucks!. So when I can!.!.!.I stop!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yea but only because i had seen him with a mutual friend of ours before!.!.!.turned out his car overheated and he just needed to get to the autoparts store and back, so i took him got some antifreeze took him back!.!.!.have a new friend!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
i did once, but it was because the guy broke down a few cars ahead of me and traffic was stopped for a parade!.!.!. i drove him about 2 miles to the closest garage and dropped him off!.!.!.
