Question: Do you agree with my roommate on this also!?
He keeps saying for me to not believe everything I hear!. I always ask a bunch of people whether it be online or in person on a number of things!. Alot of people tend to think like me from what I have noticed and my roommate tends to think in the minority!. He tends to think I am wrong for thinking like most rational people!.
Nothing against my roommate, but he seems to think also that if you work for the state, you can't get any vacation time!. I think thats totally bologna because every job is supposed to give you a vacation at some point!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you work for the state, you get a vacation!. I don't know what state you or he works for, but labor laws require every employee, public and private, to be allowed a vacation AND daily breaks AND some paid holidays!.
The ONLY thing that isn't required is a specific number of weeks vacation you get!. I've been working for the same company for nearly 17 years and I only get 2 weeks!. NOBODY in that company gets more than 2 weeks!. That's the maximum the owners allow anyone!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
