Question: Horses Put Their Lives On The Line!?
All respect to the Horse Racing Industry when I say what I'm trying to say!. I just heard the trainer for Eight Belles say that these beautiful animals put their lives on the line when they race!. I find that statement to be false!. These horses don't get up in the morning to rush out to the track and run their butts off for themselves!. They are for the most part given special food, care, medical treatment and basically the best of everything!. This is done so that (People) can take them to the track and (Make) them place their lives on the line in order to make (Money) for their respective (Owners)! Horses don't do this on their own!. I accept that this is a common practice for those who say that they are lovers of these animals but I find his statement to be untrue!. Talk to me!.

It's wrong of the trainer to speak for the horses when he says that they are putting their lives on the line!. The horses don't consciously make that choice--for them it just happens as you said!. It's a completely different level of sacrifice and responsibility compared to people who race cars!. The people who race horses have no choice but to feel responsible (as they should) when a horse gets harm or has to resort to being euthanized!.

Its easy for them to say the horse 'puts its life on the line' when the horses cant speak for themselves!. This horse, Eight Belles, broke both her ankles running that race!.!.!.!. all for what!? To make people wealthier!. I could go on and on about this cause it touches a soft spot in me !.!.!.!. I just dont agree with using animals to make people wealthier while the animal suffers or gets put down!. =[Www@Enter-QA@Com

I had a whole answer typed out but I'm going to keep it to myself!. I'm not a huge animal lover!.!.I don't have dogs or cats!.!.but I hate seeing any animal forced to participate in a sport that's for human's enjoyment!. Shame on us for being so selfish!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
