Question: Better to admit failure or not!?
Just looking for opinions here, you're a very diverse group and I actually get good, helpful answers on here!.!. :)
My attempt at starting a business last year failed, I lost a lot of money, (not as much as some people do, but it was a lot to me)!.!.!.but learned some lessons and did take away some good things from it!. When other industry people ask me what happened, what's the best way to go with my answer!? Brutal honesty, total BS, or somewhere in the middle!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I would be inclined to admit it but I would also explain it!.!.!.!.
Thats on a basis of honesty being the best policy!.!.!.!.If you were found later to have been lying you really would not have helped yourself at all!.!.!.!.!.

I think it is better to admit failure because then you can take responsibility for your actions, realize what went wrong and correct it!. "The only true failure is when you stop trying"!. Many successful business owners today failed several times, but that never stopped them!.

Tell them it was more time consuming than you had thought and you decided that it was not in the direction you wanted your life to go!. I believe if you learned a lesson, why does the world have to know!. I think it is personal and your own life lesson!. What do people have to gain knowing the business did not succeed anyway!. I am sorry that the business did not take off!. I read a quote that said, anything worth trying, is worth doing badly!. True, Ive tried and failed at alot of things!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Somewhere in the middle because that would help maintain your good relations with them as well otherwise they'd take you to be a novice and they'd treat you like one!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
