What are you doing to cut expenses in this crunch?!

Question: What are you doing to cut expenses in this crunch!?
Here's what I've had to cut out-
-manicure/pedicure no longer an option, doing that myself!
-no more dining out, (sorry to all the college students missing the tips, I really feel bad about that, my daughter is one of them)
-clothes shopping is no longer fun, and I'm making do with last year's stuff again this year
-if it needs drycleaned, I don't wear it or do it at home best we can
-weekend getaways are now at home play days!.!. :(

Hey, could be worse, not complaining, just making it work!. How are you cutting costs!? (Happy weekend to all)Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
* No longer eating out at all!. Not even stopping for a soda/water if I want it at a fast food place!. Keep a cooler with drinks in the car just in case!.
* Cleaning out the pantry before I go to the grocery!. I found that I can create so many meals with stuff I have sitting on my shelves!. Never did before because I wanted quick and easy!.
* No longer running 1 errand, make a list and make sure I don't double back!. If I forget one, it gets put on the next list!. Gas is too expensive to be wasting!.
* Don't go out to movies, or outside entertainment , have Netflix and am utilizing it to its fullest!. Making sure my membership is not being wasted!.!.!.!.
* Froze my gym membership, too far away to be driving and I can work out at home!. Maybe after summer when gas drops again!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm already a very frugal person so therefore I don't feel the need to have my expenses cut, as I can quite easily live on £35 per week and save the rest!. I must say though that I truly admire both you and others, for taking the time to do so as it will serve you well in the future!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i am cutting down on driving!! car pooling to children's sporting events! which is sad that i don't get to see them every week! No treats at all!. Staying home on weekends!. An no more eBay! i could go on all night, as i have a family of 6 and it just gets harder and harder! If only the prime minister had to live on minimum wage!Www@Enter-QA@Com

MUCH less Starbucks, before the gas crisis I combined trips, now I cut some out!. I used to shop based on my taste or quality, now I shop based on what's closest!.

I took out anything in my car that was heavy that I dont' use all the time!. I "glide" a lot in my car- when there is a hill, I put it in neutral and coast- saves miles a day!.

Home is a great place to stay these days- we all have tvs, some of us nice ones with lots of channels! Plus YA is free!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Combining trips out for various needs and visiting , more attention paid to shopping prices !. Less dining out also : )Www@Enter-QA@Com

Nothing yet but there is less money going into savings because of the higher gas and food prices!. We are considering a different summer trip because we were going to take a road trip but I don't know with the cost of gas!Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's hard for those of us that didn't have the money for dining out and manicures before the crunch!. Clothes shopping normally is done at the mission!. Even that, we haven't done in a few months!. We eat less and don't visit the family as much!. When we do visit it's a round trip!. We do laundry, visit family and go to the grocery store in a circle once a week!. Work is the only exception!. It sucks to be poor, but being poor in a crunch!.!.!.!.!. well, let's just say it's no picnic!. At least I have a good job and my health to keep it going!. ( I like to think of those people out there who would trade with me in a heart beat! Lots of people would think I had it good so I'm not complaining!.) My kids are healthy and we have a roof over our heads!. Praise God!. Have a good day!. :-)Www@Enter-QA@Com
