Christopher Lewis, 22, and Marvin Walker, 21, were sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court after admitting manslaughter at an earlier hearing!.
Tobias Davies, 21, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and was sentenced to 12 months in jail!.
Shane was assaulted in the street and then "escorted" to the pool by Walker and Lewis for a "punishment swim" on September 29!.
Sticks were used to stop the youngster, described by police as "not a strong swimmer", getting out of the water!.
His body was recovered the next day!.

Most definitely should have got longer!.We had the exact same thing happen in Northampton last year!.A friend of my daughters was taken to a reservoir,by other lad's knowing that although he was an accomplished sportsman (county champ in a lot of sports) he could not swim!.Sadly he drowned while they watched!.Nothings been done about it,not even gone to court or any arrests made,even though most teenagers know who did it!.They 2 were beating him with sticks and stopping him getting out of the water!.These people are mentally insane,they have no compassion because surely in anybodies right mind you would know when to stop and when fun and games isn't a game anymore that it's gone way beyond that!.They all stood and watched this boy drown!.Sod 5 years they deserve to be hung,how can you rehabilitate people like that!?!?!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
They are seriously sick boys and I hope that they are only left out with severe restrictions on their lives, they need some help, thats for sure, whether they can learn from this is going to be a major issue in their and their families lives!. It is a sad day indeed for Shane's family and I can only hope that they can recover from this shocking ordeal!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

That sentence is a joke!. But those guys should look over there shoulders when they do get out!. What goes around, comes around!. Life has a way of settling the score!. I hope that this will be the outcome in this case!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The sentence does not fit the crime!.Our judges are getting far too lenient!.Someone should step in and demand that they spend a far greater sentence in jail!.My heart goes out to the family of the young boy who was so cruelly tortured by these bastards!.The sentence is a complete farce!.What on earth is the judge's reasoning behind it all!.What if it was his son!? I just hope the CPS appeal against the sentences, that the court of appeal will consent and impose the maximum sentence!.
I would go one further and question why in view of his comments did the judge impose such a lenient sentence!.
I could go on but to be honest if I do I will be reported for abuse!.
I do intend to research further and establish if there is any recourse availble!. One of my newphews is a practising barrister and I shall have words this evening!.
