If someone asks me for money and looks like a wino, I will not give them money!.
However, if I encounter someone who looks truly down on their luck -- they're very poor and likely live on the street, but aren't hitting people up for money -- I'll go into the nearest restaurant like Subway, get a gift card, and give it to the person [and tell them how much is on it]!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

where i live most of the homeless people here use it for drugs[everybody knows that] i know a homeless lady since i was a baby and thats what she uses her money for!. and when i was little this man always asked for money and he became rich that way =/!. so no i dont give them money!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I typically don't see homeless people!. But once when I lived in the DC area, I saw a man with a sign saying he was homeless and had AIDS and no food or family!. I gave him $20!. Another time, a man approached me in a parking lot and asked for money for the bus!. I gave him $5!.
All this in mind, I can't forget the man who used to stand outside the grocery store I worked at in DC!. He would collect money from people all day long, and when he had enough, He'd come in, pull out wads of cash and buy lottery tickets and alcohol!.
