Question: Do you ever get followed around by employees when you go to a store!?
Today me and my brother (we're hispanic) went to Best Buy to look at some cd's and stuff and there was this guy (who was white) and literally the whole time we were there, he followed us around watching us, yet he was trying not to let us notice!. Every part of the store we went to, he followed!. And then he started talking to a woman employee and she too started watching us!. We didn't do anything to even have them suspecting us of theft or anything!. We were just looking at cd's!. I mean I'm not trying to make this into a big racist thing or nothing like that, but that sh*t really pisses me off for real!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Meanwhile, while they were busy watching you, two white guys were probably stealing some stuff at the other end of the store!. I would've said something to them like "What are you looking at!? Are you looking for us to steal something!?"

I had this happen a lot as a kid and was even grabbed outside a store they thought we stole a bike inner tube!. We picked it up and left it on another shelf in the store then left to get the money (we didn't have enough) they yanked us back into the store and we had to show them where we left it!. Then they just looked like idiots and let us go!. (I am white btw)

haha my friend, who is black, had a similar situation and so he went to the person and polietly with his award-wining fake British accent said "Excuse me, but may do you need to tell me something!. I feel rather invaded (sp) of you following me around!. " and he did all this elegant, british stuff

Just want to let you know that even though I am white I have also experienced that and it was another white person but much older (I am 32 years old so it's not like I am some young teenager which is usually who they stereotype)!. The woman wouldn't get off my back so I gave my business to some other store!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Yep, I went to several korean stores in the same day downtown and they followed us around constantly one person was trying to help my husband and the other one just gave me the evil stare the whole time I was in the store!. Where ever I was he was looking at me and following me!. We left the stores and bought nothing!. And vowed never to shop there again!. I won't spend my dollars to be treated like a criminal!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Some people have been led to believe, either through their own personal experience or through the experience's of others, that some types of races are more likely to commit a robbery than others!. It's unfortunate that you have to experience this since you are considered a minority in many parts of the U!.S!.!. Hopefully, overtime people will learn not to judge someone by their appearance but rather by their actions and not to be so stereotypical!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
