Not really!. Alot of self -centred people model themselves as "interesting" but its just a schtick; all they are really interested in is themselves with a few interesting soundbites to make them appear to the casual listener that they are complex and deep!.
They are inevitably selfish, insecure, jealous, bitter people who, like you said just want people to agree with them, or even just someone to push the air round with their words
