I like it because it is shiny and glistening and pretty..like when you find a pretty rock when you are a kid.. it doesn't have financial value then.. but you still want it .. crystals have healing powers ... people have used them for ever for stuff. what do you think..if you are thinking of buying me something silver please.x

We like them because we have been told they hold value and therefore, in our money hungry world, we like them. Yes, it is a social thing. If we had not placed value on them, they would not be as 'sought after' as they are now that there is a monetary system to back up their 'value'.
I think so. Personally, I don't care for gold or diamonds. I like platinum, rubies and emeralds. More interesting.
