I think it is criticism. That is the most effective way to stifle someone's natural abilities to invent or create something innovative, beautiful or unique. The criticism can be from someone else, or even from ourselves. We have to overcome it and decide to create simply for the joy of it.

It all depends on what you are trying to create.
Rules are there to control things and creativity is there to break the rules and change things up.
As for contraception , its a choice but it is definitely not a creative one.

Well, I think the worst enemy to creativity is lack of sleep.
